The two-day event aimed to explore the future of Erasmus+ beyond 2027, with a focus on inclusive, digital, and secure mobility for students and staff, and to strengthen collaboration among higher education institutions and European networks.
The Summit focused on:
● Discussing the future of Erasmus+ programmes and funding beyond 2027
● Identifying barriers to student mobility, particularly for disadvantaged groups
● Sharing best practices for housing, inclusion, and skills recognition
● Fostering networking and collaborative initiatives among European higher education institutions.
The gE team attending the full Vicenza office team, included Fabrizio Bitetto, President and CEO of garagErasmus Foundation.
Oleg Fetisov, Head of International Office, CTU Prague, introduced the university and highlighting its involvement in the KA220 project „Erasmusness: Erasmus Mobility as a Micro-credential“, coordinated by gE.
For CTU and garagErasmus, the event provided a unique opportunity to present the first outcomes of this joint project. Together with other European partners (Universita degli Studi di Siena, Institut National Polytechnique Toulouse, Ovidius University of Constanta), the project represents one of the most innovative initiatives in developing tools for tracking and recognizing soft skills as micro-credentials.
During the workshop, the participants were introduced to a model based on major European skills frameworks, including ESCO, and contributed valuable feedback for its further development.
The Summit successfully brought together education stakeholders from across Europe, fostering discussion, innovation, and collaboration on the future of Erasmus+. The event highlighted the urgent need for affordable housing, inclusion, and recognition of skills, while empowering participants to actively contribute to shaping the next generation of Erasmus+ programmes.
