Thanks to practical demonstrations, people will learn the basics of first aid, try out how to react in crisis situations, and learn how demanding the profession of rescuers and other professionals is, who help protect lives and maintain safety every day.
A wide range of components of the integrated rescue system and partner institutions will be presented on site. The Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Czech Technical University will bring an ambulance and a medical tent and advise what to do, for example, if there is massive bleeding. The Czech Army will arrive with a light off-road vehicle and a stand with military equipment. The Prague Municipal Police will allow inspection of a service car, motorcycle, and bicycle. The Czech Police will present a command response vehicle and open an information stand. The Czech Fire Rescue Service will boast a response fire truck and prepare a stand focused on fire prevention. The Czech Prison Service will present examples of its work and preventive programs. The Czech Red Cross will involve visitors in a first aid workshop using virtual reality. The UCT workshop will display modern portable analyzers used, for example, in field testing of addictive substances, and those interested will play an escape game focused on safety and teamwork with the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry.
The rich accompanying program will offer lectures for children and adults. While the non-profit organization Linkin Sphere will discuss current topics including cyberbullying and digital wellbeing, the Technological Literacy platform will focus on the issues of electromobility and the (un)safety of artificial intelligence. At 4:15 p.m., Veronika Sedláčková will invite prominent investigative journalist Apolena Rychlíková to the microphone and they will speak on the topic: Digital predators: current cases in the online environment.
In addition to the aforementioned activities, an exhibition of photographs from the book The Power of Fire by Jakub Šejna will be on display in Technické Street. Authentic images from fire experiments at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University present fire as a phenomenon of scientific knowledge and a key element in ensuring the safety of buildings.
