The race is open to all cycling enthusiasts, from experienced competitors to amateur cyclists who want to enjoy a day of sport in a unique atmosphere. An attractive route of approximately 50 kilometres has been prepared, leading through the beautiful countryside around Prague via Divoká Šárka and Horoměřice to Zákolany, and past the ruins of Okoř Castle back to the Dejvice campus. The total elevation gain is 735 metres. The race is suitable for mountain bikes, trekking bikes and gravel bikes, and partly follows forest tracks.
E-bikes constitute a separate, non-competitive category, intended for cyclists who do not have the necessary fitness level but enjoy cycling and wish to take part in the race. This category is open only to older competitors, and the results will not be included in the overall results table.
The Prague 50 will also feature the popular Prague Children’s Sprint at the Dejvice campus, and there will be plenty of supporting activities for the whole family.
CTU students and staff can enjoy a 15% discount on the entry fee when registering online, and the first 10 people to register will have their entry fee waived (for further information, visit dita.rudolfova@cvut.cz).
The Prague 50 is co-organised by the Czech Technical University in Prague, the Prague 6 Municipal District and Excalibur Tours.
Last year, 1,700 runners took part in the main race.
