The famous TV discussion Václav Moravec´s Focus will be aired live from Studio D at Faculty of Civil Engineering on 9 February from 20.00. The topic of the discussion will be The (un)educated society.

Those who accepted invitation to the talk are theologian and sociologist Tomáš Halík, high school teacher Irena Eibenová, chair of the Commitee for accreditation Vladimíra Dvořáková, Daniel Münich, economist at CERGE-EI, philosopher and biologist Stanislav Komárek and university lecturer Ondřej Hausenblas. CTU representatives from professors and students will be among the audience.

Guests will mainly discuss about the necessity of education in the society, the differences between knowledge and skills, as well as the disastrous impact of the information technology overuse.

The debate traditionally offers unique issues discussed on the backrop of unusual spaces. For the next installment, The Atelier D workshop hall at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, which won the Grand Prix of Architects 2009 in the best interior category, has been selected. Being a creative design workshop with imaginative and original spatial concept, Atelier D will offer interesting camera angles and set arrangements for the show.
