A special award for the student who is to deliver a unique learning or research results, overcomimng tremendous obstacles with regard to his disabilities or disadvantages was announced this year, adding to already existing competition categories The best result of basic research, The most important outcome of development / innovation, Best teaching professional, The best diploma thesis and the Best dissertation.
Another new feature is the option to apply another student’s great thesis or dissertation into the contest.
This year's contest takes place again under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Industry and Trade and a new deputy prime minister for science, research and innovation Pavel Bělobrádek.
