Pěchouček's team at CTU is strengthened by two prominent businesswomen

The management of the Czech Technical University of Technology in Prague is expanding under the rector Michal Pěchouček with further significant reinforcements from the technology and startup environment. Lucie Brešová (pictured right), a former key manager of the startup Kiwi.com, the American e-commerce platform Groupon, and a partner of the Presto Tech Horizons fund, is taking on the newly created role of Chief Industry Relations Officer. She is to advocate for the development and professionalization of the university's cooperation with industry and the commercial sector. "My task is to turn these individual bridges into a network, unify it and bring it to a world-class level - in simple terms, to build highways where there are only paths today - and help companies gain preferential access to cutting-edge research and technologies," described her mission as Brešová, who will also lead the university's business advisory board and wants to bring CTU to the level of world-class institutions such as MIT.
