AI at CTU will be headed by the co-founder of Blindspot Solutions Ondřej Vaněk, who was invited to Prague by Rector Michal Pěchouček. “We need to gain access to AI, learn to use it and have the money to operate it. If we don’t do this, we will fade away and cease to be relevant,” he outlined his vision in an interview with Universitas magazine. According to him, cooperation between scientists from different fields should be deepened at CTU, because AI experts can significantly advance research in other disciplines using artificial intelligence tools. “There is a lot of untapped knowledge in this,” he said. According to him, the change may cause uncertainty among existing employees, but this fear must be transformed into enthusiasm for the opportunity.
He also compared artificial intelligence to printing. “Previously, a person had to go to the library and read twenty books, but now everything is distilled in a model and you have information at the snap of a finger.” However, according to him, people will learn to balance technology over time. "The classic, original part of society will be valued and people will be happy to return to it. It will create a dual type of life: one rural, mushroom-picking, gardening and natural, the other urban, technological and capitalist. People will switch," said the former Chief AI Officer of Adastra Group and CEO of Blindspot Solutions, who started as an artificial intelligence researcher at CTU.
